Before his retirement, Dan was the Office Managing Partner for Grant Thornton’s Pacific Northwest offices, including Seattle, Bellevue, and Portland. This role saw him overseeing operations and driving growth in these key regions. From 2018 to early 2021, he expanded his influence as the Global Head of Tax for Grant Thornton International, LTD. In this position, Dan led global strategies, service delivery, public policy, tax capabilities and quality, and growth activities across the network.
A notable achievement in Dan’s career was his leadership in establishing INDUS, Grant Thornton’s global delivery center in Bangalore, India, in 2012. This initiative demonstrated his ability to drive international expansion and operational efficiency.
Dan’s professional experience is extensive and diverse. He has dealt with consolidated and flow-through return issues, accounting for income taxes, net operating loss utilization, and state and local tax planning.
